Amuse the Muse - Handmade Findings - with Rebecca of Songbead

Hello everyone! It's Muse day again - and it's brand new month for these posts too. This month, I'm going to look at 'art findings' - you know, clasps, headpins, unique handmade earwires. Those things that really add a special finishing touch - and can elevate your jewellery from pretty to amazing. You know the drill - leave links to your favourite handmade findings in the comments!

Let's start things off with some a beautiful bracelet featuring a lovely handmade clasp, from Kate of Floating Vintage Designs. I love how the use of such a beautiful clasp really helps the bracelet to flow - there's no interruption of the colour palette, the clasp is a feature of the bracelet as well as being functional.

Lampwork clasp - Earthshine Beads; lampwork spotty round - Soul Silver

Here are some more handmade clasps to whet your appetite:

Cherryhill Studio  - So sweet, and these would look so perfect in a simple bracelet or two.

Fulgorine Beads - wow. Just look at the detail!

Bo Hulley Beads - yep, a gorgeous handmade shank button can be transformed into a clasp quickly and easily...

...with the addition of a simple hook! Here are some of my Edison clasps from The Curious Bead Shop.

Another luscious lampwork toggle from Earthshine.

And now for the BeadBlogger Links. Have a great week everyone!

What a wonderful surprise for me too. Thank you so much for featuring my clasps, Rebecca. The 9th turned out to be a very good day indeed as I reached 100 sales in my shop. :) xx

These are so clever! And beautiful!! Lovely selection - as always!!! I had a hard time spotting the clasp in the bracelet - I love the idea that a handmade clasp can be integrated so seamlessly into the overall design. xoxo - julie
